Just like social media, YouTube’s algorithm delivers a never-ending feed. A child might start watching soccer videos and five clicks later be served video that no parent would never approve. Then there’s all the private data they collect from kids as well.
So now in Australia, it is being banned from children younger than 16 Years.
But would a ban even work?
It’s a real dilemma, should YouTube be exempt from all these kid-focused restrictions, or should parents, not policy makers, decide what’s best for their own child.
