FOMO & checking our phone during sex

10% of us check our phone during sex, and of those 45% are repeat offenders. FOMO (or fear of missing out) is often attributed to our obsession with technology.

But that’s not really what it is.

Checking our phone during inappropriate times or too often is often less about technology and more about us, and our sense of belonging. And we use our phone as a barometer for this 🌑.

Lots of notifications- we feel important πŸ‘. Not many and can feel left out or not important πŸ‘Ž If we are in a low and life isn't going well, we check our phone more than when we are feeling good about ourselves.

Changing our technology habits means understanding how we use technology in the ways that we do 🎯.
