Sunrise TV Segment: Instagram's new strategy to support parents

As parents we start making decisions for our children about their online safety but we want them to grow up to make good, independent decisions themselves. There has to be a mid transition time where you do it together. The teenage years are the best time to do that.

There are huge benefits in embracing this as a transition time. Making online safety decisions together will mean they will stick because you worked them out together, there will be less arguments, and as parents you'll feel more on the right track.

Of course, there are no silver bullet- its ongoing talk, being respectful of each others' ideas, and deciding together. Adjust this as they mature.
